Happy Birthday Candy Basket

Happy August 1st Everyone!
Hope you are keeping well wherever you are.

It has been a month since my last post. My mom had some
serious heart issue after her recent radiation therapy for her breast cancer.
She was hospitalized for 12 days and received a pacemaker at the end.
I spent many of those days in the hospital to keep her company.
Although I wasn't able to do my paper crafting during that time,
I managed to do some knitting and crocheting in the hospital.
Mom used to knit and crochet so I had a good tutor too.
Mom is recovering well at home now and I am blessed
our healthcare system provided her very good care.

Now, back to my post today. A birthday candy basket to share.
It is my DT contribution for Scor-Pal August More Than One Score Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Birthday Celebration".

This sweet digi stamp is Kawaii Candy from Ppinky Dolls.
I have water colored her with Distress Ink pads.

A little pull-out tag is tugged in behind the image for messages.

And here is the back side of the basket.

The candy template is from The Cutting Cafe.
I used my Scor-Pal to make a 3"x3" basket and adhered
2 candy shaped cardstock to the box.

I decorated the basket with the following embellishments from
The Ribbon Girls Shop: 5mm red/white small check gingham ribbon,
5mm flatback s/a red crystals, 3mm flatback s/a white pearls,
WOC pale lemon blossom flower, pastel apple blossom,
dusky blue button twine, K&G pale pink rolled rose.

Designer paper ~ Maja Design Coffee in The Arbour Collection
Dies ~ La La Land Crafts, Magnolia, and Memory Box

I hope you can join us this month and create something that
is More Than One Score.

Wedding Anniversary Card

Happy June 1st Everyone!
Hope you are doing well wherever you are.

It's time for a new More Than One Fold challenge at Scor-Pal Challenge.
Our theme for June is ~ Wedding.

For my DT creation, I made a cascading Z-fold card.
A co-worker had asked if I can create a wedding anniversary card
for her parents' 50th wedding anniversary/vow renewal.
They love Downton Abby style and my interpretation
of it is romantic, vintage, lacey, and shabby.

The card base measures 4.5" and 7.5"(H) x 12"(W).
I used my Scor-Pal to score the folded lines at 4" and 8" from the edge.

I decorated the card with one of my favorite designer papers,
Pion Design Studio of Memories Collection.
The soft muted colors are perfect for romantic shabby cards.

I cut out some tags and butterfly from the designer paper collection.

Dies and punches ~ Memory Box, Simon Says Stamps,
Stampin'Up, and La La Land Crafts

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
12mm white Leah scallop flat lace, 8mm antique white Rebecca cluny lace,
25mm ivory Deborah cluny lace (in Sale section), tiny vintage aqua bloom,
WOC 10mm ivory open rose, 10mm and 20mm dusky blue open roses,
white hip rose bud, tiny ivory rose bud, K&G ivory beaded berries.

I hope my creation has inspired you to make a wedding themed project
with more than one fold. We would love you to share
your creation at Scor-Pal Challenge this month.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a lovely week!

Oops ~ Clean or Dirty?

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

I have a new creation to share with you on this special day.
It is a DT project for The Ribbon Girl Blog "Use Any Image" challenge.
Our theme this month is "Shaped card or Anything goes".

A coworker had asked if I could make a sign for her dishwasher.
Her family members are often confused whether the dishes in the
dishwasher are clean or dirty. So, I made a magnet for her.

I think this makes a great gift idea for moms too.

I have colored this Oops Tilda with Distress Ink pads.

The blackboard is a large piece of magnet which adheres to the
dishwasher's metal door. The double-sided sign is also magnetic and
sticks to the blackboard. The sign says Clean on one side and Dirty on the other.
I brushed Glue and Seal to all surfaces to make it more water-proof.

Designer paper ~ Maja Design A Gift For You collection

Dies ~ Marianne Design, Memory Box, La La Land Craft,
My Favorite Things and Stampin'Up.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
13mm Olivia white cluny lace, 5mm red/white gingham ribbon,

miniature rolling pin, 3mm & 6mm sticky tape,
5mm red self adhesive crystal.

Thanks so much for your visit.
I wish you all a very lovely day.

Katie

Cupcake Oven Box ~ Happy Mother's Day at Scor-Pal

Morning Everyone!

It's May 1st; a brand new start for More Than One Score Challenge at Scor-Pal.
The challenge theme for May is ~ Mother's Day.

For my DT project, I made a cupcake oven box.
I was inspired by a few cute examples of this oven box at Pinterest.
I would love to design a different configuration so the box can be
folded/stored flat. Will put this thought in my to-do list :^).

Inside the oven, there is a pull-out box/tray sized for a cupcake.

I had to buy a couple of gourmet Cupcakes for the picture shoot, lol.
Not that I don't like to bake but I really want to try these cupcakes.
Oh yum, they were truly to die for!!!
