Aloha ~ A Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a birthday card to share with you.

saturated canary digi

The image is called Aloha. I have colored her with Distress Ink pads.

I used my Frantage embossing powders for the 1st time.
Not quite used to heat emboss from underneath;
I need to practice more to get a hang of it.

I made this little picture frame using air dry clay and Martha Stewart mold.
The sentiment is an old one from Stampin'Up.
The little turtle is a Memory Box die cut. I dry embossed the cut out
turtle shell and dusted with chalk ink and glitter glue.

Dies used are Go Kreate, Spellbinder, Magnilia, and Memory Box.
DPs are from my stash, I bought these papers few years ago from
Island Paparie when vacationing in Maui, Hawaii.

The following items are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
3mm Aqua bead string, ivory button twine, heart with flower charm,
seam binding ribbon (colored with DI), Elizabeth cluny lace,
50mm Emily embroidered tulle lace,
small pale lilac gardenia flower, white K&G chrysanth.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Katie

Wild Wild West

Hello Everyone!
A quick post to share a new creation with you.

I've been wanting to make another 3D interactive calendar
using some of the new Magnolia stamps.
I finally had time to craft and created this Wild Wild West scene calendar.

The images were water colored with Distress Inks.
I have made these cactus and stones using air-dry clay and
colored them with Copics when dry.

I used TH Picture Wheel die to cut out the base for the background.
The wheel is perfect for making this calendar as it has
12 cutouts, one for each month :^).

I attached a Spellbinder scallop circle die cut to the back
of the picture wheel with a brad.
You can turn the wheel to change the month and
turn the 2 stone dices for the date.

I also added 2 matchbox compartments to store the greeting tags.
The sentiments are from Magnolia and SU.
I added "Go ahead" from Clint Eastwood's wild wild west quote
"Go ahead, make my day" to one of the tags.

I have used Kort and Godt cream chrysanth flowers,
tiny Ric Rac ribbons, and natural button twines
from The Ribbon Girl Shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have good day.

Hugs,
Katie

Spring Into Fashion

Morning Everyone!

I would like to welcome my new followers and
give everyone a big THANK-YOU for your lovely comments.
Your comments truly inspire me to create something better each time.

Today, I have a funky spring card to share with you.
I love this British Bulldog from Crafty Individuals.
I thought I would make a spring card to showcase its beauty.

I water colored the image with TH Distress Ink Pads.
I dabbed spring colors on the scarf and added some sparkles.
My son suggested that I add some light blush on the cheeks
and color her lips red to make her more lady like.
I think she looks rather fashionable and beautiful.

There is a pull-out tag attached to the ribbons.
I stamped the sentiments on DP using Justrite alphabets.
The post mark and script are Magnolia stamps.
The DPs are from Pion Design Fairytale of Spring collection.
Dies used are from Spellbinders, Memory Box and Tim Holtz.

The following embellishments are available from The Ribbon Girl Shop:
Wooden heart button, cream seam binding ribbon,
ivory and natural button twines, WOC pale pink lily flower
baby pink sweetheart blossom, and ivory gardenia.

Thanks so much for stopping by and wish you all a wonderful day!

Tilda's Sewing Kit

Good morning peeps!

It's the last Sunday of the month, we have a new Magnolia Only challenge
for you at The Ribbon Girl. The theme is ~ Add a die cut.

For my DT creation, I made a Tilda's sewing kit.

I bought these wooden boxes from Michaels for $1.50 each a few weeks ago.
They are such a great little boxes for alteration projects.
The cylindrical box measures 3"(W) x 4"(H), and has a nice closure.
It's perfect to turn this into a sewing kit with a pin cushion on top.

I took the wooden knob and elastic off and covered the box
with pretty Pion Design paper- Alma's Sewing Room collection.

I cut 2 circles (3.5" and 3.75" in diameter) and cover them with DP
and lace before I glued them to the top and bottom of the box.

I added a piece of lace inside the door to hold extra pins.
The box is large enough to store quite a few things inside.

I made a little fabric pin cushion and glued it to the top of the box.
I decorated the pin cushion with laces and applique.

I used Tilda Makes A Blueberry Blanket image.
I stamped the image on TAP paper and colored it with Copics.
I then transferred the image by ironing it on to sticky backed Canvas
and added a clear plastic sheet to make it more sturdy.

I decorated the rest of the box with Pion Design paper cutouts,
Tilda's Birds images, wooden spool, flowers, and
die cuts (swirls, dragonflies, fence, buttons).

The following items are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
13mm Olivia white cluny lace; 8mm Rebecca ivory cluny lace;
pink, blue, white Pretty Blossom flowers; white Stamens;
10mm pale pink open rose.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will hop over to
