Egg Coloring Emma ~ GDT at Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning Everyone!

Here to share a February New Release from Paper Nest Dolls.
I am doing a spot guest design and made a criss-cross
card using this cute new Egg Coloring Emma.
You can find her and the other 2016 Easter collection here.

I have colored the stamp image with Distress Ink pads.
Just love the spring colors, so yummy and refreshing!

Designer Paper ~ Maja Design Sofiero and Coffee in The Arbour collection.
Dies and Punch ~ Joy Craft, La La Land, Magnolia, Spellbinders, SU, Tim Holtz.
Lace, s/a perals, dew drops and flowers are available at The Ribbon Girl.

This criss-cross card measures approximately 5.5"(W)x 6"(H).
There is a circular tag tucked in the pocket behind the main image.
I also added a Tim Holtz easel diecut in the back of the card
so the card can stand upright for display.

Hope this inspire you to create an Easter card.
You can see more Paper Nest Dolls DT creations
using the new February releases here.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a lovely day!!!

Peter Rabbit ~ My First Knitted Animal

Hello Bloggers!
Hope you are all doing well!

No card today, just popping in to share my first knitted animal.
I have made this a while back for my son who has name it Peter.

I have since made a few more knitted creatures and I will share them
with you from time to time in between my paper crafts.

It took me over 30 hours to knit, stuff, and sew together the parts and outfit.
I enjoyed making this bunny. I think he is sweet and cuddly.
The materials I used are pure wool and cotton.
Peter measures about 10.5" tall.

The pattern can be purchased at Little Cotton Rabbits.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Birthday Card for a World Traveler

Hi Everyone!

A quick post to share a new card with you ~
A birthday card/treat holder for a world traveler who's turning 53!

The card/treat holder is done like a vintage suitcase.

I have used Tim Holtz's Industrious Metal Technique for the
embossed metal portions of the case.

Inside the card, there is a compartment to hold a yummy Lindt chocolate bar,
and a sleeve holder for gift cards and tags.

Here is the back side of the card.

Stamp, dies, designer paper, and sentiments are all Tim Holtz.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Minion Slippers

Hello Friends!

Last year, I decided to learn crocheting and knitting.
I enjoy the portability of knitting and crocheting, it certainly filled many time gaps
while waiting for mom's cancer treatments in the hospital.

I have made so many pairs of crocheted Minion slippers. I have lost counts.
They are a big hit among friends and co-workers.

Here are some pics of my crocheted Minion slippers

Yarn ~ Bernat Handicrafter Cotton
Crochet Hook ~ Metric 4.25mm or USA G hook
I have found some free patterns in Drops Designs and
modify the pattern for my slippers.

I hand sewed felt fabric to the slipper soles and applied clear bathroom silicon
so they are not slippery on smooth surfaces.

Hope this inspires you to make some cute Minion slippers.

Thanks for looking.

Timeless Friendship

Dear Friends
Happy belated New Year!

It has been a long time since I posted anything on my blog.
I really miss the creative process.
Hopefully this year I will be more productive and
share more than just paper crafts with you.

Without further ado, here's my 1st card for 2016.
I used Maja Design January Mood Board and a sketch from
Creative Inspirations as a guide for my design.
Love this color palette, so soft and romantic!

The image is Dear Alice from Gorjuss Girl rubber stamp.
As usual, I water colored the image with Distress Ink pads.
I added white frantage in the background and dusted some glitters on the flowers.

Dies ~ Go Kreate, Magnolia, Marianne, Memory Box, Spellbinders, Tim Holtz
Designer Paper ~ Maja Design Vintage Summer and It's Christmas Time Collection.
Embellishments ~ Lace, ribbons, s/a pearls from The Ribbon Girls

Thanks so much for stopping by and wish you all a happy day!
